Portuguese moldmaking companies promoted its competences at "Plastec South" show, held on June 14-16, in Charlotte (NC). This joint participation, promoted by CEFAMOL (www.cefamol.pt) under its 'Engineering & Tooling from Portugal' campaign, comprised the companies Erofio, MoldWorld, Moldoplastico, Moliporex, Ribermold, Socem and VL Moldes.

The feedback from this participation "was quite positive", highlighting the experience and skills of Portuguese companies manufacturing high-tech and complex injection molds. Several contacts with local companies were established and future looks promising on common development of future projects.

The USA south-eastern region is attracting more and more manufacturers on different fields of activity and this will open additional opportunities to bring Portuguese and US companies to work together.
