Around 400 delegates connected to the mouldmaking industry gathered in Oliveira de Azeméis (Aveiro region) to discuss the future of the sector, in a period when the data for 2022 shows a slight recovery in exports compared to previous years.

Under the motto "Molding (in) a changing world", this Congress promoted and organized by CEFAMOL gathered representatives from more than 100 companies and industry stakeholders, in an event that welcomed national and international experts, who presented various perspectives and approaches of how the evolution can be and which strategies can be followed for a sustainable future of the sector.

"It makes sense to reflect, listen to experts, project the future and, in essence, try to identify actions that can help companies face the new challenges that are related to changes in the market and the international economy" said the President of the Association, João Faustino at the launch of the Congress.

It was highlighted in the event's program the presence in the opening of the Minister of Economy and Sea, António Costa e Silva, and, in the closing, the Minister of Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, who demonstrated to be attentive to the evolution and challenges of the sector, revealing availability to collaborate with the Association and support the industry to overcome them.
