Technological development in companies has not been accompanied by investment in people management. As a result, the industry is losing a considerable amount of its best talent, leaving for various countries, particularly in northern Europe. To reverse this, organizations have to start creating strategies to value their employees as much as they do their customers.
The "talent challenge in the industry" which, he warned, is today marked by several disruptive factors that characterize the global reality, such as artificial intelligence or automation, among others. Therefore, work is changing and companies have to prepare for a new type of jobs. Jobs are today shared between four generations, and it is on the younger generations that priority must be focused, because they are the ones that will ensure the future of work. However, most organizations are not prepared for the new characteristics of this generation. And that has to be a concern, it has to become a priority, and it has to lead to a difference.
To attract appropriate talent, a collaborative and purposeful culture is key. Workplaces have to change and become pleasant places where people feel comfortable. Effective people management plays an important role here, and companies must invest in it. On the other hand, they also have to change their attitude: instead of looking for the people they need, they have to be attractive so that people find them and choose them. Change is happening at an enormous speed. And companies have to catch this train, otherwise they will fall by the wayside.
