The national companies that participated in the Glasstec fair made a positive balance of this edition, which took place between September 20 and 23, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Icebel, Intermolde, Neckmolde and Vidrimolde went, at the beginning, with some concerns about this fair, however, in the end, and despite a reduction in the number of visitors compared to the last edition (2018), they considered that the fair was the stage for good contacts, both with customers already known and with new players emerging in the market.

This edition coincided with the celebration of the International Year of Glass, declared by the United Nations. And the event's organizers took advantage of this to "promote the entire glass production chain, from the scientific and technological development, to the various types of manufacturing and the different glass articles intended for sectors as diverse as packaging, construction, food or aeronautics.

According to the Glasstec organization, the fair received the visit of more than 30 thousand people - professionals of the glass sector - from 119 countries. "This is, in the glass area, considered the biggest fair at international level and, therefore, it attracts visitors from several parts of the world", pointed out Patrício Tavares, from CEFAMOL, noting that the national companies, for being dedicated to distinct target-customers, participated with individual stands, even in different areas of the exhibition area, in order to have a more positive approach. And this strategy turned out to be effective, since they brought prospects of new business for the future.

This year's edition, according to the organization, had the participation of 936 exhibitors from 47 countries.
