As part of its international promotion plan “Engineering & Tooling from Portugal”, CEFAMOL was accompanied by six national companies (BBE, CR Moulds, DRT, Frumolde, Planimolde and Ribermold) for a prospecting mission at the Compamed fair, an event dedicated to to high-tech solutions for the medical industry, which took place between the 14th and 17th of November, in Dusseldorf, Germany.

This initiative is part of the market diversification strategy promoted by the Association, with the objective of supporting the identification of new business opportunities for national companies, but also the definition of their positioning in the value chain of this industrial area.

In the end, the companies made “a positive assessment” of the trip, says Manuel Oliveira, secretary general of CEFAMOL. “This fair allowed national manufacturers to get to know the different areas of the medical industry better, as well as some of the main requirements needed to enter this area”, he said, stressing that, during the visit, it was possible “to identify companies with experience in this sector, maintain interesting contacts, with the potential that, in the future, our companies will be able to define a strategy that will allow them to integrate their value and supply chains”.
