FLEXCRAFT – Flexible Aircraft - is an aircraft that combines the idea of modularity allowing a reconfiguration of the cabin for different missions (commercial and leisure, rescue and assistance, among others) to compete with rotary wing solutions, through a short runway operation, improving general performance -http:////flexcraft.pt/pt/home/.
This project is the result of the work and dedication of a consortium made up of SETsa (leading promoter), Almadesign, IST - Instituto Superior Técnico, Embraer Portugal S.A. and INEGI - Institute of Science and Innovation in Engineering.
Annually the IDA - International Design Awards recognizes and promotes visionary design concepts that are distinguished by the creativity and innovation of the solutions found. IDA emerged in 2007 through a group of designers, thinkers and entrepreneurs as a way to respond to the lack of recognition, as well as to promote multidisciplinary, intelligent and sustainable design proposals
Concerning the 15th Annual IDA Awards, the FLEXCRAFT Project was awarded with the Gold distinction in the Product Design | Transportation / Aircraft/Aerospace
