Ribermold has built a complete new tool for a compact housing, with a single cavity, to inject the PBT GF30 Crastin HR5330HF material. It was injected on a MI 06 machine (260ton).

The challenge was to produce a part only with injection process, due to the fact previous parts were produced by injection and machining of the plastics.

This new tool is based on reverse engineering geometry and has 2 versions being molded on the same tool, thanks to interchangeble inserts, a safe strategy in order to avoid deep dimensional corrections.

The tool also features an internal film gate and overflow cut-off system (FGOF)

All this engineering resulted in parts price reduction up to 10 times, if compared to the previous method.
